Neighborhood Block Parties

Neighborhood block parties provide opportunities to connect with neighbors, celebrate, work on common projects, and strengthen community relationships. These events are held and attended by people living in the neighborhood surrounding the street, they are not intended to be open to the general public.

Municipal Code Requirements


Bremerton Municipal Code 5.36.080 exempts neighborhood block parties from having to apply for and obtain a special event permit.  However, in the event a neighborhood block party will require a street closure, an application for street closure must be applied for.

Application Process


Submit the Neighborhood Block Party Street Closure Application & Guidelines (PDF), a map of the street closure, and a non-refundable twenty-five dollar ($25.00) application fee to:

A complete application must be received no less than ten (10) business days prior to the event.
