Drug Unit / SOG

The Bremerton Police Department's Special Operations Group (SOG) has been in operation since the early 1990s. It is comprised of 4 Detectives and 1 Detective Sergeant from the Bremerton Police Department. The Chief of Police developed this specialized unit to conduct investigations primarily associated with illegal narcotics, vice, gangs and organized crime.

Mission of the Unit

The primary mission of the SOG is to initiate proactive efforts that include undercover investigations, public awareness and education, and abatement of problematic properties within the City of Bremerton.

Unit's Goal

The goal of this unit is to actively seek out identified individuals who participate in illegal activity and prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law. In performing this mission, the SOG will enforce all applicable laws in a fair and impartial manner.
