The Kitsap Humane Society (KHS) is the contact for City of Bremerton animal control and pet licensing. You may visit the Kitsap Humane Society website for more information or pay for animal licensing online at the KHS website.
Bremerton Municipal Code 7.08.010 (a) requires that all dogs and cats be licensed annually or within 30 calendar days from the date the owner acquires or takes up residence in the City of Bremerton. Animal licenses are good for 1 year from the date of purchase. Fill out the Animal License Application (PDF) to apply.

*Service Animal licensing fees are not applicable for emotional support animals.
To obtain a license for the 1st time, the pet owner must provide proof that the animal was spayed or neutered if applicable. If the pet owner cannot provide proof of spayed or neutering, they must pay $37.50 for their animal license.

The Kitsap Humane Society issues all backyard chicken hen licenses for the City of Bremerton. Licenses may be obtained online or at the Kitsap Humane Society offices located at:

The Backyard Chicken Hens License Application (PDF) will be processed by the Kitsap Humane Society. The humane society will issue the license upon approval of the application. Please contact the Kitsap Human Society at 360-692-6977 or petlicensing@kitsap-humane.org.
