Domestic Violence

Domestic violence is more than just a "family problem"; it is a crime. The Bremerton Police Department recognizes that domestic violence is a serious problem in Kitsap County. Domestic Violence is the actual threatened physical, sexual, psychological or economic abuse of an individual by someone with whom they are having or have had an intimate relationship. It is the most common but least reported crime in the nation. It affects men and women in all cultures, races, occupations, income levels and ages.

It is a serious and unacceptable crime which affects our children and society in a multitude of ways. If you are a victim of domestic violence, now is the time to start thinking about protecting yourself.
