Bremerton Police Department Press Release

On April 20, 2018 at 0450 hours, the Bremerton Police Department responded to a single vehicle collision in the 2600 block of Tracyton Beach Road.  The vehicle had left the roadway and ended up in the water with the cabin of the vehicle submersed.  A BPD officer and a citizen were able to extricate the seat belted driver out of his vehicle. The driver was brought ashore and CPR was initiated. The driver, a male in his late 30’s, was transported to Harrison Hospital and was subsequently declared deceased.  Notification is pending and is being handled through the Kitsap County Coroner’s Office. 


Bremerton Traffic Officers are currently investigating the collision. The roadway should re-open at approximately 0830 hrs. Alcohol and speed are believed to be contributing factors.
