Mayor Greg Wheeler has announced that the city of Bremerton has made arrangements to defer furloughed federal workers’ and federal contractor employees’ utility bills until after the furlough has ended.
Utilities can be paid after the federal furlough ends, pursuant to a signed arrangement. Furloughed federal employees or contractor employees can visit the Utility Billing office to sign the Furlough Promissory Agreement to avoid delinquent charges during this time.
Those who want to take part in the opportunity, will need to provide a copy of their Documentation of Government Furlough, along with a copy of their Federal ID.
