Heavy wildfire smoke from Oregon has entered our region making air quality UNHEALTHY. Air quality may continue to worsen to VERY UNHEALTHY Friday afternoon. People should take precautions and limit activity outdoors and stay indoors when possible.
As a reminder, Kitsap County is under a Stage II Burn Ban and ALL outdoor burning is prohibited. Ueland Tree Farm near Kitsap Lake is temporarily closed to the public due to extreme fire danger, including the Lebers Lane trailhead and the popular hike to Dickerson Falls.
Air quality conditions may change quickly. Check the air forecast at Puget Sound Clean Air Agency’s website.
Visit the Washington State Department of Health’s website to learn how to protect yourself from smoke.
