Pump Station 14 Relocation

Project Overview

Pump Station 14 was constructed in 1941 and supplies water from E240 zone to the E398 zone (East Bremerton). It also works in conjunction with Pump Station 11 to supply water to Reservoirs 12 and 13. After a landslide in 2012 nearly wiped out the existing Pump Station 14 building and damaged one of the pumps, a new site was identified to build a new pump station and retire the existing one.

The new pump station will be constructed near the intersection of Homer R Jones Dr and Wheaton Way, with two pumps for redundancy, a back up generator for emergency power outages and a public restroom.

Project Status (Updated April 19, 2023)

The contract was awarded to Prospect Construction. They have mobilized to the site and are performing site grading and off-site utility work. Current working hours are 6am to 4:30pm Monday through Thursday (noise exemption provided through BMC 6.32.030(e)(4)(vi)), set to continue through September 29th.
