Project Overview
The original Well 9 was drilled in 1977 but was shut down in 2010 due to concerns with excessive sand production in the well. The City still maintains water rights to this location and will be drilling a new well next to the existing well to provide additional sources for the City’s water system. The wells in this area supply much of the water to East Bremerton. The City will first develop the site so that it will be accessible for large well drilling rigs. Follow-on projects include well drilling and adding facilities to the site for chlorine addition and well protection.
