Captain Randy Plumb was born and raised in Bremerton, Washington and has over 26 years of law enforcement experience. He began his law enforcement career with the City of Port Orchard in 1994, with experience both as a patrol officer and a detective with Kitsap County’s regional drug unit, WestNET.
Randy joined the Bremerton Police Department in 1999. He served as a patrol officer for 3 years and a narcotics detective, with the Bremerton Police Department’s Special Operations Group, for 5 years.
He was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in 2006 and assigned as the Special Operations Group unit supervisor for 8 years. In 2014, he returned to the patrol division as a patrol shift Sergeant, working both the swing and dayshifts.
Randy was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant, in July of 2016, and assigned to the Support Services Division of the police department. In that capacity, he provided oversight of the non-uniformed police services to include: General Investigations Division, Special Operations Group, Warrants, Records, Property and Evidence, and Community Resources.
He was promoted to the rank of Captain in October of 2018, where he served as the Commander of Patrol Operations.
In June of 2021, he was assigned as the Support Services Division Captain and also serves as the department’s WASPC Accreditation Manager.
