Michael Goodnow represents Bremerton City Council District 5, which includes the area next to Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Charleston, and Forest Ridge Park with the district bounded by 11th Street.
Michael is serving his third term though 2029. He was the Council President in 2022.
In 2026, Michael is Chair for the Parks, Finance, Investment & Parking Committee and the Public Safety Committee. He also serves on the Audit Committee and LEOFF 1 Fire Pension Board.
Michael will “keep the Council focused on our neighborhoods. I will continue to improve infrastructure through our roads and sidewalks, including the rebuilding of 6th Street and Callow Avenue. We need to continue to fill vacant spaces and create good paying jobs. I will work to ensure that increased density in our community is balanced with affordable and low-income housing. I will work with Council to create and implement long-term growth plans with smart growth policies that lift everyone up. I pledge on behalf of the council and staff that we will move forward with a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.”
