Lieutenant Rodney Rauback began his career with Bremerton Police Department in August of 2008. Throughout his career, Lieutenant Rauback has served in a variety of roles, including patrol officer, bicycle officer, Field Training Officer, seven years as a detective with the department’s Special Operations Group (SOG), and most recently as supervisor of the Traffic and Directed Enforcement Team units.
Promoted to Corporal in May of 2016 and then to Sergeant in June of 2021. Lieutenant Rauback led swing and graveyard patrol shifts before serving as the DET/Traffic unit Sergeant for three years. In June of 2025, he was promoted to Patrol Operations Lieutenant, where he oversees patrol teams and critical response functions while managing the Gold patrol team, several specialized units and programs, the Directed Enforcement Team, the Traffic Division, the K9 Program, the Navigator Team, and the Bluebridge Alliance program.
Lieutenant Rauback is a 2017 Kitsap Sun 20-Under-40 Honoree and has achieved the FBI LEEDA Trilogy certificate for completion of Supervisory, Command, and Executive Leadership courses.
